Below is a poll on what your eschatological views are. This poll should be anonymous, so don't worry about which viewpoint you choose; I promise I won't judge.
What's your view of Eschatology?
- Premillennialism
- Postmilliennialism
- Amillennialism
In the event you do not know what the above terms mean, I'll give you a quick guide below:
Premillennialism - Yeshua's Second Coming will occur prior to a literal, physical 1,000-year reign of Yeshua here on Earth (Millennial Kingdom). This view takes a literal approach to prophecy, especially the events in Revelation. (Premillennialism can be further subdivided into historical and dispensational premillennialism. Suffice it to just select this category if you broadly fall under this view). This view also holds to the doctrine of "The Rapture", and that is thus broken down into several different categories of Pretribulational, Postribulational, Midtribulational, and Pre-Wrath.
Postmillennialism - Yeshua's Second Coming will occur after a metaphorical 1,000 years of a "Golden Age" of Christian prosperity and dominance where most of the Earth will be believers. In this view, believers are the ones to establish the Kingdom on Earth. Tribulation events in Revelation happen throughout the Church Age, and are not confined to a 7-year period. This is a non-literal approach to prophecy.
Amillennialism - Yeshua's Second Coming is the "consummation of the Kingdom" after the Church Age. Yeshua's First Coming initiated the Kingdom, and like the Postmillennial view, there is no literal 1,000-year timeframe, but is rather a metaphor for a long period of time. During this time, there is no world-wide ear of peace and justice. Amillennials differ from Postmillennials in that Amillennials see the metaphorical 1,000 years as a spiritual reign in heaven, rather than on Earth.
